Hi All,

Just a quickie for you Fuji experts - I've tried to google this but to no avail.

On my Fuji Cameras (XT1 XP1) when viewing the photos on the LCD the frame number as read is say 110-0635. This translates into DSCF0635 on my PC. So OK, the 0635 is the frame number - is the 110 bit relating to the 'folder' and if so, it it possible to reset this folder number?

It's not mega important but I'd just like to know

Thanks

It's OK - managed to sort it myself with a bit of jiggery pokery on my PC
Cheers

Hmm... I'd still like to know what that number refers to?

The first 3 digits are the folder number - the last four are the file number. Both can be changed

Ok... So what creates different folders when taking photos?

Filling the earlier folder - at a guess by taking over 9,999 shots in it.

There is so little information on this but I reckon you're right. However, changing the folder number by means of renaming files on a PC doesn't always result in the folder number of your choice - the camera seems to default to its own numbering system - very strange

My X-T2 changed from Folder 1 to Folder 2 after 2000 shots. I've now put another 4000 shots on it still in Folder 2. Can't explain that at all.

How do you change the folder name? I thought you could only do the file name?
