Fuji black Friday double cashback

I see man. After looking at the price, it seems is good deal if my XT1 and Xt10 bundle. I paid £500 for my XT1 graphite silver used but brand new after discount is £660. Still a decent deal but I think I will still go for used because I can save the money on lens which I got the 35mm f2. I want the 18mm f2 but even with double cashback is still £400. Can buy used for £215-225 ......

These are the original amounts but if you read their terms and conditions you will find the double cashback clause.

I have been in touch with WEX and they have confirmed this [emoji16]

I personally think the best deal on this cashback is buying a XT10 or XT1 body. Lens wise not so much of a deal unless you planning to the expensive lens new, buying used may still be a better deal on some of the lens.

There are very few used lenses out there at the moment. The sweet spot with the cashback seems to be the ones that now have £160 cashback, particularly the primes which are rarely discounted a great deal. The 16-55 (the cheapest of the lenses with £250 cashback) is also a bit of a bargain, cheapest it's ever been.

Yeah man, my friend is tempting for the XT10 deal but is £160 cash back and then £80 trade in offer. That's before they even value your gear ......

unless i'm wrong that you can't stack the trade in offer along with double cashback.

The dealers are absolutely stuffed with used X-T1 bodies at the moment, used X-T1s are starting to drop below £400 and X-T10s are around £300. Unless you absolutely must-have a new camera body the depreciation with Fuji bodies (not so much lenses) makes used the only sensible way to buy.

That's why I buy a used XT1 graphite silver. They tend to hold their value well and not as many stock as the black one on both new and used. New XT1 silver inc cashback is around £669. I paid my for £500. Still a bargain I got their.

I rather use the extra £169 to put towards a decent lens which I have for the 35mm f2.

The double cash back will end on 1st Dec. and it will back to normal.

Not so sure, new X-T10s are £259 right now. That's cheaper than the tattiest used one I can find from any dealer. X-T1s are a little more borderline, although at £479 that's still better than a lot of used ones in excellent condition.

Fujinon lenses selling like hot cakes folks..... stocks low or running out :(

I should have followed through on my statement a little more. I expect the used prices to drop further on 2nd gen Fuji bodies before very long, there are dealers with 100+ used X-T1 bodies sat on their shelves that they've taken as trade-ins (Wex and Jessops seem to both be in this position). Fuji themselves must be sitting on several thousand used X-T1s based on the trade-in promotions that have been running worldwide. Fundamentally the X-T1 is marginally better on paper than the X-E2 (current used price c.£270) which is in turn marginally better than the X-T10. The current used values are in my opinion over-priced on these two models - used X-T1 bodies should be a lot closer to £300.

And as for the X-E2S prices.. the logic escapes me..

Fuji are making their money on the lenses and the early adopters. They can afford to encourage the depreciation as low used prices encourage second- and thirdhand ownership which expands the lens buying pool.
