OK I know this film is on the button for skin tones, But has anyone used it for anything else on here?

Like Landscapes, architecture etc etc?

If so what is it like?

I have looked on flickr but most of it is either shot on a Lomo or Cross Processed neither of which I am after.

Yep I know about Velvia which I used to use alot but I have gone off it and don't like it no more

Generally, Astia is very accurate, and like you say it's bob on for skin, but as it has fairly low saturation can be a bit boring for landscapes and the like. If you're not so keen on how wild Velvia can be, I'd personally recommend Provia 100f over Astia for landscapes. If you scroll to the bottom of http://www.pbase.com/cameras/fujifilm there are plenty of examples of the various fuji emulsions.

Great thanks for the link

I took this on Astia

HMMM!!! Thank you for the examples they are very good and so i am off to 7dayshop or some other place to buy a couple of rolls

Hey minolta I like the one of the cat doing its best to ignore you

The trouble with scanning is, you can't tell if and alterations have been made digitally unless you already know what Astia looks like.
I found a few here
There are a couple of Provia and a couple of Velvia thrown in and amongst and it also details the lighting conditions, you can really see the difference Astia makes to skin tones, and for instance the colour casts from different lighting sources.

Hi Cherryrig....lovely shot. I have often tried to get that shot, but can never manage to get that sort of lighting and exposure.

Can you please tell me the lens and settings you used ( and any filters )
