Fuji 690, anyone used one?

Do it.......I'm very tempted to sell some stuff and get one, they are very cool.

Tbh I haven't purchased internationally for a long time so can't confirm personally but I recently spoke with someone informed me that Ebays policies had changed to incorporate the additional taxes incurred by EU purchasers.

I hope I haven't mislead anyone...that wasn't my intention.

If I can find any definite info / link then I'll post it up.
 
I managed to pick up a slightly battered mk1 90mm version for £212 posted from Toyko. The counter telling you how many rolls you have shot is broken but that doesn't bother me at all.
I'm expecting the customs/VAT to take about £40/50
 
:shrug: Only clicked on the first one as not sure if there's something malicious in any of them.

Would love to know what relevance the links have to the thread.

Thanks Rob. As a result of this thread I've just arranged to buy the one in the classifieds. Managed to research it enough to convince myself I couldn't live without it.
Can't wait.
 
Crap, so does this mean that, just as I'm using the Yashica Mat, square is no longer cool here and we're now on to 6x9 rangefinders?!? And I thought this was the non-gearhead forum ;)

All this 6x9 malarkey is just a fad, give it 3 weeks and there'll be a glut of them for sale in the classifieds :lol:

Square is the one true way ;)
 
Personally, I think we are moving as a forum to even more minimalist. Pinholes all the way!
 
I've gone completely minimalist and just remember things and do a pencil sketch when I get home.

This has got to be the way forward for me to obtain better quality results:D
 
Mine arrived this morning, not put a film through it yet but first impressions are looking good. Rangefinder is easy to use and while the camera is well used it all seems to work and the shutter speeds seem accurate (to ear).
Given it a clean and reset the roll counter, planning to replace the leatherette later on when i have a bit more time.

Oddly I wasnt hit with any customs fees, the label has it listed as a used film camera and as a gift with the value on it, however his handwriting is awful so it's entirely feasible that they misread it.

I like it, small, pocketable and lightweight for the days when you don't want to put your back out with the RB67 :thumbs:

Least it's hand-holdable and the mirror slap doesn't feel like you're being hit with a stilson wrench :thumbs:

You'll be sick of seeing photos from it soon, I've got a weeks holiday in New York this summer where i will be loading it with Provia 400 and Tri-X :thumbs:

It's entirely possible that you'll get a bill in the post for the customs fees in a few days time. That's happened to me several times and seems to be the way some couriers arrange things.
