Fuji 16/24MP sensors

Fuji raw images processed using Iridient X-Transformer, Adobe Camera Raw, and printing up to A2. Particularly regarding foliage and grass can anyone tell me categorically and definitively if the larger sensor is in any way better and if so, significally? Or would it be more judicious to spend money on lenses or a decent monitor and calibtation hardware?
