Just got hold a really nifty FTP program today thats prettymuch running on auto right now - called Filezilla - best thing I've ever seen and very useful if you're the type of person who has a website/uploads lots of stuff/builds sites.
you set it to run and thats it.
on the downside what I've uploaded to update my site is a bit rubbish but no matter, deleting is a doddle. normal ftp's only allow deleting whats in a folder and if there's any filled subfolders then nothing happens, this just runs and does it all for you, subfolders and all!! :D

ther you go, thats all I have to say, hope it helps

I use dreamweaver unless I am doing permissions then I use SmartFTP or my hosts file management system.

I tend to use SmartFTP when doing interactive stuff. Otherwise I revet to the perl ftp module. In this way I've automated push/pull from the family ftp site.

smartFTP here too :)

FlashFXP is the best I've come across. Beats smart and cuteftp hands down.

I've not tried this Filezilla though :)

work promotes the use of SmartFTP to the customers, though most of the office use filezilla or a command line ftp.

I tend to use WS_FTP Pro as it supports thumbnail view

FireFTP as a Firefox plugin

MS DOS for anything else

I use windows explorers built in ftp... just added the ntl webspace I use for picture hosting as a 'network place'. Works like any local folder... just slower :)

I am still using Leechftp of old :embarrassed:

It stopped being developed about 2-3 years ago.

Hey it's free and it does the job :)

i'm a flash fxp man with windows, tho this cyber duck lark for mac seems to work nicely.

I'm not very web savvy but I find filezilla the easiest ftp program to use. I've tried smartftp and leechftp.

I just use Nautilus

but i have used smartftp which is good too.

I use FTP Surfer and Dreamweaver.

I have an old copy of WS FTP Pro but glad to see Firefox has a plugin. I will try that.

Also sometimes use hosting explorer to work on php stuff.
