From Picasa to Lightroom 3

Hi All,
I have recently upgraded to LR3 having previously used Picasa as my primary organiser. Really loving everything about Lightroom but was wondering if there was any way of getting the face recognition tags from Picasa to import into LR?
I have had a look on Google but not found anything particualrly helpful (some say you can, others say you can't). All my photos in Picasa have been tagged with names and ideally I would like this show up in LR.

Anybody got any ideas?

Thanks Gridlock, I had seen this in fairness but got halfway through the comments and got lost - too much tech speak for me :)
I might try it but if anyone can explain it in simple English it would be much appreciated!
