A friend has loaned me his camera for a few weeks to play with the Macro lens he has to see if I should get one. It's quite a cute little camera actually, a Fujifilm S5000. Has anyone got one of these or used one of these? I know it's not quite the standard of your macro lenses but it's a start. Any words of wisdom?

Can't wait to have a play :D

Are you waiting for permission to use it?
What's keeping you?

Here's a tip for a cheap macro soft box:

Just sold one of these. Cracking little camera. Didn't use it for Macro tho. It'll take pretty stunning pics, as long as you don't go to the full range of the zooms. Have fun.

Batteries charging and thumb still very painful so can't hold it steady

Thanks Brash, just found in one of the pockets the tiniest little tripod  so cute

When you say full range of zooms, what do you mean? Am I being a bit blonde here?

They got tripods for that these days, kelack. And those are pretty much a prerequisite for macro photography anyway.
