Is it just me? Seem to have to buy a new digi-box (for FREEVIEW TV) every 7-12 months!

They all seem to work fine when new but as soon as they are 7 -12 months old the channels start to break up. On my fourth in 3 years!

Well it depends on what you buy in the first place, but in saying that I bought my mum and dad a £60 one about three years ago and it is still doing what it is supposed to do :) before changing to Freesat I had an Oppo freeview box complete with wireless keyboard, a dongle for plugging in an rj45 cable and hey presto you got internet on the tv, I must have had that at least four years and it worked fine up till the day I unplugged it, I still got it in the loft somewhere.

i had a number of cheap ones (Matsui etc) ones which broke fairly quickly, so i spend £40 on a philips ones which lasted alot longer, my parents still use it so its about 4 years old.

you buy cheap, you buy twice!
