Free software to play with?

Hi All,

I am looking to extend my boundaries in post processing. I currently have Lightroom 3 but nothing else - are there any free progams or plug ins I can play with that are well made? I am on a mac.

Any suggestions appreciated!

Specifically looking for some nice B&W software, anything even as a trial?

Well you're free to play with the full version of Photoshop CS5 for 30 days.

I'll have a look, thanks. I guess it isnt as user friendly as Lightroom - can anyone suggest some youtube tutorials on the basics and layout?

I'd also look at Elements, Lightroom is pretty my h the best application for photographers, the main thing it lacks are layers.

The main plug in for B&W is SilverFX Pro, maybe worth a look.

Have you looked at different ways of using the develop module for black & white in Lightroom?
