Been reading about how to send free texts on iPhone but wondered if anyone on here has a tried and tested method?
 
I dont know..thats what I am asking?

Wondered if anyone is doing it now and how are they doing it??
 
I do it by paying Vodafone a monthly charge which includes 'unlimited' free texts!
 
I have a business phone (provided by my day job) so cant pay for any bolt ons myself thats why I am looking at an alternative
 
Do you mean something like whatsapp or Ping?
 
is there anything that can send free texts from iphone to non-iphone?
 
I guess you could use any of the free web to sms applications available. Or as mentioned above WhatsApp is on a few platforms.
 
well I solved the problem....or someone solved it for me!
Cant use my iphone anymore as work are issuing me with a blackberry, IT wont/dont want to support my iphone anymore!

Is it a large business? Most small/med companies prefer the iPhone for exchange support rather than having to buy blackberry enterprise server which costs ££££'s!
 
We just been bought out by a huuuuge company and even the IT consultant is a massive apple fan but when I first met him he told me the company would never support apple.
I have had an iPhone for a while now but they are implementing new security policies and the iPhone doesnt suit them....the cost is irrelevant really as they dont mess about, they just do things their own way and I unfortunately have to move to a blackberry now.

Could always keep the iPhone on a PAYG sim but I dont want to carry two devices and work pays all my bills so I suppose I shouldnt complain really
 
Hmpf. Stupid security policies! Even exchange can be fairly secure on the iPhone but I guess someone got wind of how much you can use them for not work :lol:
 
I dont think they are really bothered by using it for non work, and it is my own handset anyway. I just dont think they want the hassle because I am only one using it and they just want me to conform to keep life simple!

Will get round it again in a few months when new iphone is out! haha
 
Pah! Just get their OWA exchange details and bobs your uncles whipping boy!
Tell them you are using the crack berry....
