Free reflector and white balance

Just been to paper shop as above free with this months Photographer mag if any one needs one take a look

it is either the reflector or the whote balancer not both jsut reading it now myself i have the white balancer so off to get the reflector soon

woohoo, got my reflector today, and they had loads of white balancers left in my local Sainsbury's so going to pick one up tomorrow.

What does the white balancer do? I thought it was a reflector/white balancer! As in double function!!??? What is the white balancer exactly? Is it effectively the same as white card for setting wb purposes? Sorry i am new here, new to "threads" and very amateur in photography? Kind of, all the gear-only a bit of an idea!!!

I just went and got myself a copy and of course the free reflector... seems a bit flimsy... then again it is free. Good for for carrying about i guess !
