found this in practical photography mag i subscribe to its free and prizes to be won and no im nothing to do with the mag i have signed up and the same question keeps coming up in these forums is there any courses so here you go guys enjoy

THERE IS NO QUALIFACATION

i appologise it costs about 4 magazines to cover the course that can be bought from most good newsagents this is not for a professional degree or qualifacation

Thanks for this - I've bitten and signed up for the course too but must confess that I don't fully follow what happens next :shake:

As I understand it and please correct me if I'm wrong - part 1 comes with April's edition of the mag (on sale Wednesday this week), part two is the one we've just signed up for - how does one receiev the remaining parts - emails or magazine purchases - I'm guessing the latter :shrug:
 
i persume they will tell you i already have next month mag as i have subscription and it has a guide in there explaining not read it yet propley anyways seems ok and a nice certificate at the end to i think
 
According to the tips booklet I got in the mag the booklet is module one.

Module two shows you how to identify subjects and realise their potential and will be emailed to you and includes a homework quiz.

The rest are in the the mags.

Module three will be in June's mag is about how to get the best from a subject by understanding how light, angle of view and gear choice all combine to good effect and will include submitting your work to the homework gallery.

Module four (July) is about low light and another homework gallery.

Module five (August) is about movement and techniques for shooting it and another course project competition.

Module six (September) is about breaking the rules and another course project competition.

The second module will be emailed on March 25th.
The rest will be in the mag over the next few months.

So what's the qualification?

Or is it just a bunch of tips with a submission task and no recognised qualification?
 
Seems like another way of getting you to buy or better still subscripe to the mag

I did this last year and just took out the cheap subscription for 6 months then cancelled the direct debit.
