This morning I downloaded a trial of Neat Image and was mazed at how easy i was to use and how good the results were, is there a free equivalent that is as good/easy to use that anyone would recommend ?

Personally I have used Neat Image Pro for a few years now and you can get excellent results with it if used properly.

I find it so good that nowadays I just use whatever ISO I want and my pics are usually devoid of noise - even at 3200 ISO (with just a small amount of fine detail loss which is hardly noticeable):

All taken at 3200 ISO using ambient light and the "Nifty Fifty".

I paid for the full version because I can batch process all my pics in one go - definitely a must if, like me, you take a lot of pics at once.

Thanks for the feedback, unless any other info gets posted think thats the way I will go :)

Noiseware community is free and very good but does not batch process.

The only one I've ever used is Noise Ninja. Comes as PS plugin plus standalone. Not free but couldnt work without it.

The software supplied with your camera - DPP - also has NR in it for RAW files - and that's free, but a bit slow and I don't think it batch processes, but I could be wrong on that.

Well sort of I guess, you could set how much you need on one photo and then copy the recipe to clipboard and then past to all other images.
