Hey everyone

A question to you all, when designing a dvd,cd slideshow what music do you use to put on it? Is there any free tracks I could use to put on them if any of you know of any tracks that could be used. Its to go on a wedding DVD im doing for my cousin as a gift and looking for some nice tracks to put on it, along with copyright laws etc....

My itunes music is not suitable (:naughty:) anyway dont think Slipknot would work some how!:lol:

Any tips on sites I can get free tracks or How you do it or even a good album to buy that you lot use. etc... would be a big help

 Dominic

If you are doing it as a gift surely you can put anything on it????

Not sure on this but your not selling it........someone will put me right im sure.

What about their first dance song??

No - you can't just put anything on it even if it is a gift. If its copyrighted music then you need a LM licence as per this thread http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=93810

An LM licence for a one off like this will not cost any more then a royalty free track for the stock l;ibrary mentioned above

Hugh

Im looking for tracks to use for future use also, as ive got others I will need to do in the near future so basically looking for tracks to go on a wedding dvd. So help needed please.

I know the copyright law and understand you cant use any tracks etc... Just need music to cover say 45ins to hour I spose

im doing a wedding for a friend next year and as he is having a live strings (A gift from the inlaws) for the reception, ive negotiated with them to use their full 8 tracks demo disk for a small fee and credit, as they are not pros(everyone doing things, seem to be friends of friends, good old credit crunch) they are more than happy (they said they may get me to do some promo pics if the wedding goes well for them....)

No, you don't have the rights to do that even if you buy the track.

Look The thread seems to be going away from my question, I understand the copyright law. All I want to know is where and what music do you lot use. Can anyone give me a answer....? I know there are afew out there that do dvds and cds on slide show so

If you google for free/copyright free/royalty free music you most definitely find something. Good luck!

I have a track you can have for free. It's done by me totally so i have complete copright. It's kinda soft electronic style. I am happy to email you the MP3 and if you want to use it then fine, if not then no probs. PM me your email address if interested.

How is that different to copying an album as a 'gift'?

Looking at your last few threads dom it looks to me like you just want the members on here to do all your leg work so you can sit back and take all the credit :rules:

Google is your friend;)
