Free gift(s) from a magazine

So I subscribied to Digital Photo magazine and they had an offer on, if I subscribed I'd get a free Kata bag. So I subscribed and eagerly awaited my gift.

A month passed and no sign, so I called them to complain (well moan) and they told me it was "out of stock" and would offer me an alternative. I opted for the Lowepro Orion Trekker bag instead, and again eagerly awaited my gift.

Two days ago the bag arrived, a Kata DC 445. So much for the Orion Trekker I thought, but it was free so who was I to complain? The bag was given to my girlfriend who has just started photography. She's happy with it, so no problem.

This morning there was a knock at the door, and an Orion Trekker was delivered. Let's just say, I'm a very happy bunny! :D

Who says complaining doesn't get you anything? :thumbs:

Mag freebies are always good. I got £50odd worth of Carp bait for free when I bought my Total Carp sub last year, the sub only cost £40odd!
 
I had the same thing ith vista print my cards were a week late so i emailed em they said theyd send out another set about a week later 2 sets arrive - D'OH
 
lol, vistaprint and their amazing free cards...free if you want them delivered anytime soon, but if you want them within the next 6 months it'll cost you :lol:

Got a Kata 443 myself with Practical Photography.
Mine took just over a month too so maybe they were just waiting for your first payment to clear before sending it :shrug:
