Doubt it's a scam.. just a blatant attempt to get likes. Wouldn't be the first company to give a prize away to the 1000th person to like this or that etc.

It's not a scam in that you would loose anything. These so called give always are a ploy to get 1000's of like to a page. The page is then rebranded and sold.

Neither you, or anybody else will receive a free camera.

There are loads of these going around where you can get a free car. Do you really think a company will give away a free car for the sake of some facebook likes?

Simple. They get a few thousand likes and shares which gives the page reach & interaction.


Then change the name, and start chucking affiliate click to earn links out that looks like legit posts. Boom, cashflow. OK it's small cashflow, but operate a few of these and money can be made.

Also sell your details on to scammers and anyone wanting to pile your email address with spam.

They don't get your email address from a simple page like.
 
These are always going around in some form of another.. Cars, holidays, cameras, anything which will get them likes. My mum still can't understand that she won't win anything from them :( But at least its not too harmful.

A lot of the 'This animal is missing/abused/needs a home' type posts are also faked for gathering likes, as a lot of people share them out of concern and they take advantage of it.
