Hi folks, this may be a silly question but does anyone know how to create a simple black frame and signature with Photoshop CS4???...and then hopefully use it as a template.
I can do it in lightroom on the Slideshow pallet but when exporting it takes the whole page and not just the image!!

I have the Onone Photoframe software but the frames in that are real pants and not worth a look!!

Cheers...

Paul..

Hi Paul,
heres the way I do it..
Once you have finished al other adjustments and re-sizing.
1. Select>all
2. Edit> stroke - set width between 1-5, colour to white, normal mode - OK
3. Select>de-select
4.Image>canvas size. - set width to 105%, Height to 110% (other way for portrait shots)
canvas extension colour to black - OK
5. Your picture will now show a thin white line with a wide black border. Adjust thickness to suit as above.
For the siggy,
use the text tool as usual, and position on the black part of the frame. You could save the siggy as a brush, or as a layer for using in an action.
I have mine set up as two actions, one for portrait, and one for landscape.

Hope this helps and makes sense

Thanks, just used this guide. Although I just kept with a white border.

any ideas on how to get a nice looking copyright symbol?

Just select what font you want to use and type away, or if you have already typed your text, just highlight it and then select what font you wish to use. All the characters including the © should change.
