Love the mushrooms Jenny

One above looks a little overprocessed/sharpened?

Okay, heres mine, taken between 6 and 6.30, hellish busy at the moment, working on my HNC project (not photography though) which is supposed to be finished next week!

Sorry they're a bit crap, could not really put my mind to them this week!

Thats it comp closed :) I shall be back later to announce the 3,2,1 :)

A great set of entries for Dave's abstract theme but I'm afraid there can only be only one 3rd, 2nd and 1st

These are my choices

3rd is Ian for a weird and wonderful image and quite a unique way of doing it :)

Feedback.
Created this post, left the message blank and photographed the empty space in macro. Edited the post and put this image where the blank space had been.

2nd is Jenny with this colourful oddity (I've still no idea what it is :))

I am really struggling with this. I've never done abstract before. Here is my first attempt...

And the winner this week is Anna with this splendid shot of forks that really needs a few views to get your head around :) Which in my view is what absract is about :)

Well done to everyone who entered and Anna - the baton is passed to you :)

Well done :D

Congratulations to the top three, I am hoping to put a bit more effort into it next week.

:clap:Well done annao and jennyb, hats off to your work, love the way the forms work together in the forks, simple and really effective. The colours in the (flower, seed head?) are stunning and delicate, organic yet crystally type feel to it. Wow, how chuffed am i with 3rd. Fabs, i thought your second shot was amazing. There is some serious talent around these parts, well done everyone.
Cheers Dark Star and i think your last 2 images are stunning.

Ian

Well done to the winners and to everyone for taking part

Wow! Thanks Dark Star you have made my day!:) Well done everyone else especially Jennyb and Huujuu.

Oh dear now i have to think of the next theme... think could be harder than actually doing an entry:lol: Will sleep on it and post it tomorrow

Anna X

Cheers Toothie, You did a wonderful job with the reflective crinkles, i'm really stumbling with that sort of thing (blame it on the energy saving bulbs.......deflect attention away from my inability!).

Similar with your glass fabs, i spent ages trying to get a glass bubblely thing sorted for the competition and you made it look effortless. grrrr

Oh, many thanks, Dark Star. It is very exciting to have one of mine chosen. I almost removed that one to replace it with something different. Glad I didn't.

Congratulations to Anna (a worthy winner) and to Huujuu (a really extraordinary photo). Once again there were some really great entries.

Jenny

Cheers Dark Star and i think your last 2 images are stunning.

Ian

Ian thats kind of you, there were some superb entries this time round now lets see what Anna comes up with :) to challenge us this week :)

Not that there was anything wrong with the first image, it was very effective and well shot, i was just quite taken with the colours and textures of the second 2 and their ethereal quality.

Congratulations to the winners - great submissions from everyone

well done to you all. Must clap huujuu for his idea! The winning forks shot was great, as jennys purple thingy....what is it?
