found this canon L lens 28 - 300

just came across this its in london might be some use to some one not 100 %sure if avialable but it was only posted last week seems a good price on e bay new there £1700 and it states £1100 used but in mint condition

Gumtree - probably dodgy! Most things on Gumtree seem to be!

some is i have bought a fair bit off it and not many problems you just know when some things is dodgy 90 % just by the price but may be a good deal or to go see if some one is local

I think 99% of the stuff on gumtree is dodgy, it either doesn't exist or they want you to turn up knowing you'll have £1100 in your pocket.

There was a battered MX5 hardtop on there for £100, I emailed the seller as it was in manchester, the reply said i'm in Bulgaria, western union me £100 and i'll send it over, a bloody hardtop FFS is there anything they won't try to scam you with

That's round the corner for me, though at that price it does seem dodgy, I'd say scam or stolen are highly likely

If that is where he is Chiswick Camera Centre does 2nd hand lenses and would easily give him that price I'd have thought..........and it's a 2 min walk from where the seller supposedly is.

i saw a 1ds mkIII last night new, for £670 lol

gum tree is full of skanks, but not always, jsut send an email to them, see how they type their reply. quality of english, weather they mention western union.

you can get a pretty good idea of if its dodgey or not, ask to talk to them over a phone.

its a shame as its a good place to buy and sell, but it needs some moderation implemented somehow.

that said ive had a few smooth trans action and never been skanked.

But don't read too much into the quality of the spelling and grammar, because otherwise you might find yourself turning down bargains from genuine people.
