Has anyone else ordered this for the 360?

Ive got mine through today, 2 days before release :D

i will be in my room ALL day and would appreciate it if people in the Newcastle area would bring me food so i dont have to move :thumbs:
 
I'm poor at the moment, so I've spent the last few days playing PGR2!!! to distract myself from buying Forza 3 and Dirt 2. Forza 3 looks good, although I fear they may have lost some of the Forza goodness by making the handling a wee bit more arcadey, the demo dissappointed me.
 
Just looked at the Forza 3 website.. the graphics are incredibly impressive. I watched a video though, and the 'handling' still looks way too wooden, almost like the physics haven't progressed in sim racing since Gran Turismo 1.

Its probably still a fun game, but I think I'll stick to rFactor for now.
 
I can't F-ing wait for this. Massive Forza fan.

Viper, I'm envious. I think the inclusion of the "rewind and start again" feature is a bit of a gimmick, but hopefully at higher difficulty levels this won't be included. I really liked the clutch option on the demo. :D
 
Although I prefer Xbox over PS3, I'm gonna get GT5 so I can use my Logitech G25 steering wheel to play it.

the rewind function has is on a couple of games now. and even if it is included ont he higher levels, just done use it ;)

The handling is similar to that of Forza 2 in my opinion.

The interior view is VERY impressive. first car i got in game was the mk7 Fiesta ZS (i have a real one). They have got the A pillar spot in, in the fact that it gets in the way ever time you make a right turn :lol:
 
I'm still waiting for my pre-order to be delivered, so I'm well pleased with the postal situation...:bat:
 
A mate of mine has had his for almost 4 weeks as he's a games reviewer. Says it's truly brilliant. I might just keep my 360 if it proves to be a fantastic game.
 
Great visuals on the demo and the handling is superb, but it's no COD:MW2, which is where my limited funds will be going when it comes out in a few weeks.

Mind you my order was with Argos and I don't think they rust to get games to you on release anyway. On the flip side it only cost me £30.
 
30 aint too bad.

i paid 39.99 for the limited collectors editionf rom blockbusters.

Im guessing they sent orders out early to try and beat the postal strikes. seems to have worked ;)

I was going to buy MW2 until a few days ago. Can't believe no Dedicated servers.

Just been out to see what little the postie just delivered, but alas no Forza 3.

Put the single letter delivered on the telephone table, and noticed a package covered in random bits of paper that oviously came yesterday, but no one had happened to mention to me...it's Forza 3!

I don't know whether to laugh or cry...:geek:
 
I'll be getting it tomorrow, can't wait.
I bought a steering wheel today and have tried it on the demo, but it seems to be more difficult to drive than with the normal controller !
The demo doesn't seem to have anywhere you can adjust the wheels' settings so I guess you can only adjust them in the full game??? I'll find out tomorrow :D

I finally cracked ... :D

Just reserved a wireless wheel and Forza 3 from Game. Can't get there until the morning though ... :(

Are we going to set up some TP races then?
 
I bought it today. Only managed to get an hour on it but it is awesome! I have got a little FIesta tripod for my car. It is ace :D Also won a 500 Abarth (new one) :love:

That has nothing to do with what I'm talking about... This is the PC version, where they're turning it pretty much into the Xbox version, so no Mods available to us.
 
Thank God I talked my dad into buying himself a 360!! I'm in Shrewsbury visiting him, so I bought it today. Word of advice, don't put a RWD drivetrain swap into the Fiat Arbarth, you will spend the rest of the night laughing like a lunatic!!

FM3 is better than I expected. :D
 
I got my FM3 yesterday.... its good... but really dissapointed to find the FM2 tracks in it, ok so there are some new ones, but also all the old ones.

The grind which is working your way through it is made worse by having to go through all the same tracks I spent hours on last time.

The gfx are better than fm2, but its nothing really new. Fun but nothing new.

NFS Shift seemed much better actually from the demo I had from Live. And its got Brands Hatch 8)

Anyway, stuff "COD(piece) : modern laughable authenticity 2", I am waiting for Left 4 Dead 2 - bring on the zombies and the chainsaws :D
 
you are the only person i have seen complain about the tracks?

surely the more tracks the better. they're not going to take all the old ones off :lol:

i just wish they would add croft :(
 
I wouldnt mind if the old ones were there as an add on, but I'm still early on in the game and mainly racing on the same bloody ones as before...
 
That's a bit irritating. I was thinking seriously about getting FM3 but having to trudge through all that lot again just to get to the new circuits is dampening my enthusiasm.
