This forum is great! When I buy a photographic mag., I first of all resent paying all that money and then find that I don't understand a lot of the articles but on here, there is so much of interest to read and I can learn by asking or reading about
other peoples problems and experiences. Kooshti. Just learned that word from a Jeffrey Farnol book!!

I do both - I'm more of a forum lurker mind you.

I subscribe to three magazines simply because I enjoy reading them. More often than not two of them have matching content - 'this week, autumn' for instance but none the less they get me away from the PC and onto the sofa.

I am lucky on both accounts .....

I used this forum to find a nice chap called Venomator. he then gave me lots and lots of magazines for free!!!

This saves me buying mags - as I have about a 3 year backlog AND I get up to the minute gossip and live hints, tips and crituqe here!!!

Happy days all round!!!

Hehe really? I've nearly finished my pile! :D

Theres probably 2 magazines I buy monthly. Professional Photographer and Digital Photo Pro. They go beyond the standard Photography Monthly style of rehashing yearly content. How to shoot landscapes, portraits, autumn shots, spring, winter, bleh. That you can easily find out by googling or being inspired by someones photo here. I buy those magazines because of the content, because its content you don't get here. Sure there's professionals here with plenty of great advice, but its always good to read more.

I dont read magazines because Pete gets articles in them. Why would I pay to read what he wrote... I can just chat to him on IRC, madness!

On a more serious note I occasionally buy Professional Photographer but usually one when passing and it takes my eye.

 You saucy beggar!

No rush mate, Ive still got loads to get through :D
