Just wondered what your forum name means, or how it came about?
Not sure if its been asked before.
Mines in self explanatory, my name is Bob, I'm an uncle, and it's a play on the old saying "bobs yer uncle, fanny's yer aunt".

I was once described by an old gaffer of mine as being "direct to the point of being confrontational." I'm comfortable with that.

Nick Nairn (yeh the TV Chef) once asked me why I was called Brash. My reply was shouted "JUST BECAUSE I F***IN' AM. OK." He did laugh!!:)

My old boss interviewed somebody like that once, he did not get the job as "we have you to fulfill that role".............:D

I was was told I was using my initiative almost to the point of being insolent.

My name comes from a mix of my choice of transport at the time
 
Mine comes from needing a name when I played FPS games online. I'm interested in wildlife but birds more than anything else and I've always had a liking for redshanks, so I borrowed the genus name. Considering my avatar it probably should have been Capra.

Thanks to a great TP secret santa present I also have a framed print of a "Tijuana Taxi" on my wall, framing courtesy of a very thoughtful anniversary present from my wife.

Mine is just my nickname which I've had since infant school.
 
Mine's a reference to my photographic technique!!! Must learn to slow down a bit .....

... and while we're at it, the avatar is a colourful, noisy, cheeky but cute old bird ... just like me ...!!:)
 
Well mines pretty obvious I think. Ive warn sunglasses and a hat since I saw the film in 1980 with my brother and yeah Im the short fat one and he's the tall skinny one.

Is it really? For some reason I thought you were into bikes, and you were referring to the CG 125. I am sure there is a female on here that regularly posts, and who is into bikes. Ahh got it, I know who it is now :)

Haha nope but I think I know who you mean..
I didn't choose cheeky geeky myself though, it's an old school mate of mines fault, she could never work out getting music from PC to laptop so always shouted for me 'geek' .. So I'd tease her and called her a plank so for sometime now it's been 'cheeky geeky' :D

I originally copped the nickname moose from the rugby team at university for being a 'big horny animal' - subsequently a girl gave me a big soft moose (who now sits on my bedside table as he's just the right size to put my glasses on while I'm asleep)
 
I was Nod to my parents from when I was first detected.

Isn't BRASH an acronym for Bald Round Angry Sub Human? ;)
 
Didn't we have this thread a couple of months back?

Just a gaming name I had back in the 90s. I thought it a refreshing change from all the overly macho names silly little boys live vicariously by.

The avatar I've always had, and has no relevance to the name. Just something I sketched while bored at school one day... way back in the 80s. Always had it as an avatar in forums... I can't even tell you why. :)

Mine is from when I played inline hockey and ice hockey (many moons ago) and I was told to mark the opposing teams best player. After most of the game had been played and the said player was as frustrated as possible having not scored a single goal, turns around punches me in the face and screams "Are you my f'kin shadow". The name has stayed with me ever since. :naughty:
