Is anyone else having repeated problems in accessing TP? I get one of two error messages, on a frequent basis. The first message is more common, and often appears when I click on the notifications bell.

I have experienced this on a Windows 10 PC, running either Chrome or Edge, and on an Android phone running Chrome.

Yes, not super frequently but occasionally.
 
Not so much the access errors, as such, but I had to reset my password last and a few minutes ago it had logged me out again......kind of odd and tad annoying :thinking:

Almost certainly AI bots. If the site uses cloudflare then these can be blocked (and I would argue they absolutely should). Other CDNs also are getting this functionality.
 
I'm glad I'm not the only one. Several times recently I have been unable to reach this page.
 
Been fine for me for the last few days, was previously quite erratic.
 
settled down yesterday but before that for a couple of days TP was unavailable message,

I suspect its a foreign country as it seems to be middle of the night and early morning (frustrating)

I assumed it was server maintenance or something
 
I've also had the problem over the last few days, including one evening when I gave up trying to access the site until the next day. I just assumed the powers that be were aware, and doing their best, so I saw no reason to trouble them :) .

It's good to know what the problem is though.

Yes, I see this exact error reasonably frequently

Chris (sirch) has been working at it a lot over the last couple of weeks. He's rescued it a few times but it's becoming a big problem until/unless they lose interest and try elsewhere. We are looking at other solutions where feasible.
 
Not sure why they would want to mess with TP. Although, I suppose it's just one of many effected.

Quite possibly to train AI, but covertly through proxy IPs.

Of course, there is another possibility. You know there is a new bill to protect online security? Well... You don't think Keir Starmer is behind it, do you? :eek:
 
Being serious for a moment... No, I don't think our esteemed PM is responsible, nor do I think he's behind this. It would take a certain degree of competence, ability and forward planning to pull this off, and I think that eliminates him from the possible suspects.

We're still seeing high numbers of bots crawling the site, over 1200 just now, though that's less than half what it was. Sirch made some changes that returned the site to accessibility a couple of weeks ago. Do let us know - if you can - if the problem continues.
 
Site has been stable for me during last week one outage of less than a minute.
