Luckily the grip & lens hood bore most of the fall, seem to be working ok just a bit of paint missing of one corner,so carried on then the heaven open up rain :bang: every thing got a really good soaking before i could find cover.
Camera home drying out so far everything still seem to work, going to download the card soon just to double check the pic are ok :D

Not to much had little one with me,but stood their to quite believing what was happening :)

oh fair enough well I do hope that it's still working properly...I tend to look on them as battle scars :D shows it's seen action rather than being fussed over in a hermetically sealed room

Thanks here hoping, years ago when i was a pro my poor old gear used to chucked in and out of my bag.
Nowadays tend to be more careful, but you're right a camera should show a few battle scars its just getting used to it again :D

Apparently rice is very good for absorbing moisture, someone taught me that trick when I dropped a mobile down the loo, the worse thing you can do is hairdryer / radiator as it can warp the insides, but if you get one of those microwavable rice packs for muscle pain etc, then put it on it, the rice should absorb a lot of the moisture.....obviously don't make it too hot.....

Hopefully everything will be all right for you, but thought I'd share just incase you need it

First thing to do upon water ingress is remove the battery otherwise that little sucker will zap and short out every IC that it comes across :)
