Really like the colours in this renee :)

Really like the colours in this renee :)

Thanks Sue I took it with having a canvas done in mind for the new house. It may not be the most perfect pic but the colours really lend itself to a monet like finish on a canvas...

I really like this one. The colours are great, and I love the way the edges are slightly oof. This would look great on a canvas. Very arty, and I thought Monet as soon as I looked at it. Well done :)

Oh lovely flowers photostar. I love the soft lighting. I do think you might benefit from a different background as the blue distracts from the purple flower (I'm awful with names).

Photostar really like this but have to agree that it might look better on a different background.

Already commented on Renees so here is mine.

Not the best photo in the world but just really like the Lambs running in the fields.

Oh I love it sue. I think it was a great job getting the lambs sharp. The ewes across the road for me are holding theres in for something better... I"m getting rather cheesed with the waiting.

These were taken at the farm just down the road from my parents house, spoke to the wife yesterday to see if it would be ok to go in the stack yard to see them in there but it was a bit dark so went round to the feild, parked in the car and took this from there as soon as I got out the car they all went to the other end of the field. :) was nice to see them running around.

I think I quite like the blue background on Photostars shot, certainly gives it a different feel.
I like the letterbox crop on your Lamb shot Sue, works well.

Like that one steve :)

Lovely to see the spring lambs skipping along Sue, made me chuckle as soon as I saw your pic.

Nice delicate rose there Namllihs, think we could do with Boon to check in on this thread, lol!

Here's my effort, I took a week or so ago but wasnt happy with it so wasnt going to post, then I thought 'well as I chose Spring, I ought to put something in' so here it is!

Well I'm glad you did Glo it is loverly. The ladybird is so sharp. Great colours too.

Fabulous rose...any idea what it's called? Looking for new one's for the garden.

Looks like a wild or dog-rose to me. The original roses from which the garden varieties were bred had five petals.

If you want interesting roses, try Peter Beales (Norfolk/Suffolk) who specialise in the old or traditional varieties (all roses are equal but when it comes to scent some roses are more equal than others) or David Austin (Shropshire) (specialises in modern roses that look (and sometimes smell) like old roses).

Both sell stock by post during the autumn/winter.

Sorry, first post and nowt to do with photography.

Great shot of the lambs Sue, although for some reason I thought they were running away from a fox!

Inaglow - I like the way the ladybird's shape matches that of the flowerheads.

OK so it's a bit past a fortnight but here's my take on spring. This is a clematis armandii from my garden - wonderful scent of almonds drifting across the patio for just a few weeks or so in March and April.

Forsythia (sp?) always tells me that spring is here, took this shot the other week.

photostar_1 I like the blue background on your shot, I think it looks good

owen_1973 Good capture but imo just looks like there are too many flowers in shot (please bear in mind I am still a newbie to this )

:woot: I can finally take part!

A Bleeding Heart fresh from the garden a couple of hours ago
