Thought this theme might compliment this months red comp rather nicely.
Hope its a little more popular than the last theme, which seemed to go down like a lead balloon!:gag:

Thanks to all the rain, just about everywhere you look there is something green sprouting up, so no excuses this month, peeps.... get posting something green!

... Are you listening Ven??? ;)

Howsabout...

(Clicky for bigger as usual)

Taken in the Tay Forest park on a recent trip to the Highlands. I picked the day when it was bucketing it down to go trudging around a forest!

Constructed from multiple copies of the same image with various blends, blurring and masks. Hope there's enough green in it! In case there isn't, here's some extra bits: :D :p :gag: :cuckoo: :geek:

Or even a quickie :naughty:

Just threw this together. It's a bit of a cheat as the position of the bottle changes in the photos but who's looking...

Can I just remind everyone who is sharing photos that when you post a photo that the aim is to comment on the photo before yours and then one other image, this way we all get to share images and get some feedback on them.

I've literally just got my 350D - I took it out of the box last night and snapped this shot. It's lost something in reduction and I can't bring it back with the Unsharp Mask. I don't have the full size image on line at the moment. All settings were Auto and I think the DOF is too shallow. It's taken with the standard kit lens not a macro one.

Re the Dragon plant above - I like the idea but I'm not sure the sunlight streaks really work in this case. The various leaves in all directions just leave the feel of it being cluttered.

I absolutely love the Tay Park shot - superb!

Oz, you're right, it is a bit cluttered and doesn't really have a focal point apart from the squiggly bit, the exposure is pretty good though!

I like the Toucan shot but would have preferred it with a bit more beak.

Just for Ven.....

Thanks Sue ... this is indeed the case, makes the whole thread much more interactive, so any new pics, please do the above!

Loving your style Nettie ... ... great Green  ... pics ... ;)

But you're not following the rules ... :rules: ... :D

See Sue's post above ...

But do keep the Green ones coming ...

:p

:cuckoo: Ooops!:embarrassed: didn't read that bit. :help: the post before mine is my hubby's - WHAT can I say  :D I saw the original and a lot of work has gone into that one - very creative and very GREEN  :p

Love the Tay Forest shot - the rain really brings out the green even deep in the forest.

When I open up this thread I get a pop up window stating
"The server web.mac.com at idisk.mac.com requires a username and password." does anyone else get this?

Like the formation sheep Nettie. Saw some doing something very similiar near Glamis in Angus recently. Is linewalking a scottish sheep thing.

And now for some rock!

Prefer the bigger version

I'm not sure doghouse. It's a good shade of green but as a pic it doesn't boil my potatoes (as it were). Maybe it needs to have something else in the shot? [S1]sorry[/S1]

Here's a leaf shield bug from a couple of days ago:

I so love everything about this thread ... ... BIG THANX to Glo ... ;)

That Shield Bug is super Richard ... ... a different approach that works for me ... ... and not JUST because it happens to be Green ... :D

Thought I'd make the most of this greenery before it flowers

Richard - lots of detail in your shot, and as the 'Green Thing' says the different approach works, looks good :)

Nettie - Really like your last shot, the way the lines in the field lead you

Also liking unclerichy's Tay Forest shot :)

Ok, I'll shut up now :D

Nice one JB ... ... lovely detail ... and it's so Green too ... :D

Mind you ... think it looks even better without the shadow in the right hand third imgo ...

Here goes with my "green" image

Am loving the bug shot; the head on view makes it very intimidating in my view. I'm still trying to get my macro work to be that sharp!

Kx

Another Leaf Shield Bug.

Well I suppose its got wings Cedric ... :suspect: ... but there the similarity to your usual subject definitely ends ... :D ... not a bad shot though ...
