No
So I have both a sigma 10 - 20 3.5 and the Formatt Hitech 100 mm filter system. I have currently been using the filter system on my Sigma 18-250 but would like to get a ten stop for using on the 10-20. What I really need to know - preferably before paying through the nose - is if there is likely to be any vignetting using the100mm system on such a wide angle lens?

I'd consider taking a chance usually, but given that Formatt are not content with just a lowering of the under garments, but rather a full-on removal -

Fourty quid for a bit of plate steel with an internal and external thread.....

It works fine at 18mm on FF but not sure about 15/16mm equivalent I'm afraid.

Sigma 10-20 so crop camera right? 100mm is fine at 10mm on my Fuji, should be fine on the Sigma too.

The trouble is lens design plays a part too, not just how wide it is. For example some 24mm lenses may vignette whilst some 18mm lenses won't. I don't know all the ins and outs but this is info directly from Formatt themselves.

Well aware of that. Checking the OPs link though shows the standard one - I'd go for the wide angle one to be sure which is even more hideously priced. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Formatt-Hi...11&sr=1-1&keywords=formatt+hitech+82+100+wide

Shame it's not 72mm, I've got one here I can't shift!

Thanks for the replies.

Yes, I did wonder about the wide angle version. The fact that I was considering also getting a 52mm one too means that this could be a rather expensive purchase, for what it is.

Yes, it's the position of the entrance pupil that is the variable factor, but there's no way of knowing that (without testing it yourself). Given that most lenses of similar focal length tend to be of similar design though, field of view is a pretty good guide. The example of vignetting with a 24mm, but not with different lens at 18mm, would be extremely unusual.

Interesting, I wondered why it was (y)
