Yes
Been using Semi Skimmed milk for about twenty years, went to the shop before and only had Full Fat milk, I can't believe it I bought some. Normally I would never buy it, I would go some place else and get Semi Skimmed, but today I said hey lets try it again, after all these years. Forgotten just how good it tastes in Coffee :) .

The thing is, I can't remember why I stopped using it all those years ago. Not sure if it was the taste, or for health reasons

We used to buy semi skimmed but since we have had children and they started normal milk we have been using full fat.

When I visited some friend who had children, they used full fat milk also. I never had a cuppa in theirs, simply because they used full fat milk. Should now go back and claim that Coffee :)

...and don't forget about Gold Top...

...mmmmm lovely on cereal or used to make porridge... :)

I love it ice cold.

Only ever remember Silver Top, or red Top. But for some reason, Red, Green , and Blue on those big plastic bottles of milk.

I love it ice cold.
I might try it ice cold on a bowl of Cornflakes tomorrow, wonder what is least healthy, bowl of cornies with full fat milk, or a greasy egg on buttered toast  Although I know what will taste better..

Egg on toast tastes better :)

We had third pint bottles of milk every day in school till '81 :)
Luke warm after the crate had thawed out and warmed up next to the big cast iron radiator. And those sharp, narrow blue straws.

Lots on here too young to know what we're talking about no doubt...

Blimey, now there is an international conspiracy. That was not exclusive to the UK. Same in the Netherlands. I think a bigger scandal and collusion than libor

It was another damned "Hype" it will kill you quicker than a colt .45 ( or something like that :D )

And the poxy Blue tits ripping the tops off, that one, to get at the cream or at least tearing a hole in the top, especially in the winter, buggers!

Always has been full fat milk for me, and always will be. I like my stuff to have some kind of taste about them - but then again I'm not lactose intolerant.

When we had a milkman deliver glass bottled milk year ago, once during a particularly severe cold snap I woke up to see how frozen cream had expanded upwards with silver foil caps still sitting on the top.

Can't believe people buy the low fat stuff.

If you read the label the small print says "Made in Hell by The Devil."

Just buy the full fat stuff.

On the subject of milk... in Kazakhstan I was handed a bottle of white stuff and told it was milk so I took a nice big healthy swig and it was revolting. Fermented horse milk. WHY? :(

I used to love it fresh from the cow when holidaying in Scotland.
My school friends dad had a dairy farm, before and after school we often had a glass fresh from the cows. Loved it.

There really is nothing like warm milk straight from the cows down at the farm. It tastes completely different, just brilliant and would be my first choice every time, but apparently we are not allowed to make our own decisions on such matters these days.

Coz someone somewhere thinks they know better.

Grr.

I prefer to wait until the farmer's put it into a jug.

You get some funny looks drinking it straight from the cow.

Don't drink milk or use dairy products at all. No thanks.

Half fat, full fat, no fat, skimmed, semi skinned. Double cream, single cream, pouring cream, whipping cream.
I remember proper milk, delivered by the milk man that had a good inch of cream on the top.

We also used to go to the farm with two litre coke bottles and get real unpasturised cows or goats milk.

Can't beat the real stuff, tastes completely different.

You can still get it. Just not in a supermarket.
There are lots of dairy farms with the necessary permission to sell whole milk to Joe Bloggs.
You just have to find one. :-)

The supermarket supply chain doesn't want to handle unpasteurised milk - it's very short-dated and sensitive to spoilage. As above, farm-gate is the place to get it.

Tried full fat not long ago after buying it by mistake, I swear I could taste the fat in it, disgusting.

....once during a particularly severe cold snap I woke up to see how frozen cream had expanded upwards with silver foil caps still sitting on the top.

We had to eat the cream off the top with a spoon before you could even pour the milk.
It was important then that you put the milk in your tea first before adding scolding hot water to help stop the cream from just floating on top.

Just had another Coffee made with Full fat milk, rather nice it was too oh and with the customary biscuit :)

red top all the way for me. If your spooning full fat into your cup you might as well chop a block of lard into your tea!

Longlife skimmed milk or coconut milk for me. Full fat just makes me gag.

I must admit I can drink skimmed really cold....but the longlife stuff is absolutely vile. They use it at work.
I take my own.

Switched to the orange top stuff a few years ago when fat was bad. Now, full fat is too claggy for my taste.

Do they still do sterilised milk? It came in a long tall bottle, it was absolutely awful. But I remember having to use it as a kid, probably because not many people had fridges way back then
