When buying a PAYG phones on offer, one is forced to buy a tenner sim card, and what does someone on a monthly contract usually do with them as I have realised that they are not too hot for selling either. Just thinking what others do?

I'd keep it for going abroad etc. May not get many minutes out of it, but better than running up a huge bill on your contract.

Check the number that they come with on the back... If it is an easy to remember one that stick it on the bay at a premium price! Bit of a lottery but worth checking! People buy the PAYG cards with good numbers then port them accross to contracts!

Vote for Jedward lots on X factor - oh, they out already......

I was thinking about buying a phone the other day, it was cheaper to get with a sim then without, even after buying the airtime.

The last time i got a PAYG phone i kept the card for those time i need to call and theres no network coverage on my contract, although i normally get around paying for the call, by texting instead.

I managed to get a phone on Asda with a sim but without any money on it. Sadly the sim is somewhere on a tip as nobody would have been interested in it.
