I am sure there are some TP veterans who remember the horse we rescued from Eastern Hungary a few years back. I blogged about Marci's trials and tribulations some time ago and earlier this year we put her on loan to a friend who was very keen to look after her. Yesterday was the first time I had seen Marci in some time and she has really grown up and has responded well to the one-to-one attention she is now receiving, they are absolutely besotted with each other and this was just what Marci needed.

For those of you that do recall the bag of bones that she used to be, here she is now:

Just read the blog, looks like you and your wife did a fantastic job, she looks very happy and healthy now. Its a shame she had such a hard start, but at least she found someone in the end to give her the love she needed!

The pictures speak for themselves!

The change is amazing when you see the before and after pictures like that. She seems to be very happy now.

Congratulations - I remember her story because it made me cry! Such a magnificent animal. The way she is now is amazing - praise to you and everyone involved.

Of course I remember Marci - in fact, that blog made me blub the first time around so I'm not going to read it again !!!

It's absolutely fantastic to see her doing so well. Those 2 shots of her running around the field sum it all up for me - Well done to everyone who has helped her to get to where she is today

Abso-bloody-lutely fan-bloody-tastic.

What a job. What a job.

Just the thread I wanted to read. Thanks Hacker.

Great outcome Colin, I can't believe it was YEARS ago. Feels much more recently than that.

Certainly looking a healthy specimen now

She looks in fantastic shape now and so happy..... well done and thanks for the update

Thanks for sharing these. I often think about Marci. Good to see how well she has turned out. No4 of her having a gallop round her paddock is a wee bit special, shows she is enjoying life now. The head shots too show how alert she is now.

She certainly looks a picture of health and happiness now. Well done with all the hard work you put in its certainly paid off. Thanks for updating.

I was going to say something about Rheinische sauerbraten mit pferdefleisch, but on reflection, maybe not...

Good job there, well done...happy-horsey...

Is that along the lines of "Only good for dog food and glue?" :D

Awesome Colin, I cant believe the transformation.

Those eyes are absolutely captivating!
