They can afford it... as long as the Japanese Chief bods leave him to get on with it.....
That's the important thing. They're not as bad as Toyota when it comes to interference from Tokyo but they've already lost a number of key folk over the years (Dave Richards, Geoff Willis among others) because they've not got on with Tokyo.

It will be interesting to see what Brawn's philosophy is, he's a techie at heart (hence is the right guy for the job) so I'd expect a thorough restructuring of the technical departments but what the impact on the marketing etc side of the business will be is unclear.

On Hondas website they make the point that Fry will continue as CEO and will now concentrate on the commercial and marketing side of things, leaving Brawn to do the technical and racing side, which sounds ideal, as lon as that is allowed to happen AND Fry doesnt try and 'boss' Brawn.... though I suspect that is something Ross will stamp on very quickly if it happens :lol:
