football chat?

Oh simon how bitter you sound, never mind enjoy your ground share with Gillingham next year.

Sorry Cardiff - here's hoping Blackpool step up to the mark tomorrow.

I would love to see Blackpool win but can it be right that a club with an ave gate of 8,000 and can not sell all there playoff final tickets can be in the prem? but then again can it be right to have a welsh team in there what ever next teams from Scotland.

They only have the low attendance because the Stadium is incomplete, the away fans currently have to sit in a temporary "scaffolding" stand and the "Jimmy Armfield" stand was only opened near the end of the season.

im not surprised they've failed to sell their allocation, after all someone needs to stay and look after the Donkeys :D

Oh hello football elitism, haven't seen you in a while.

Well my ears are still ringing after that WHAT atmosphere at wembley, sat in front of 30,000 mental Blackpool fans is quite an experience :D

Well done Blackpool. Is anyone sorry that Cardiff didn't make it.

..... when we play them than visit that sh!thole called Cardiff.
Cardiff was lovely when I visited today. But then, the so called football supporters were otherwise engaged.

So the knuckle draggers did it last night. At least the pikey caravan dwellers lost the night before. 1 out of 2 ain't bad

Oi :bat: think you'll find the caravan dwellers are the ones that got relegated thank you very much!!!! lol

Ours are static homes thanks

And I wouldn't gloat too much, you only just managed to stay up :D

Well done Blackpool!

Swansea fan here, so I have many happy friends right now. One of them sent me a text yesterday:

"Blackpool till July,
I'm Blackpool till July,
I know I am I'm sure I am I'm Blackpool till July!"

My beloved Crystal Palace are in serious danger.

Please please please sign this petition. http://www.gopetition.co.uk/petitions/save-crystal-palace-football-club.html

I started going to see Palace play 20 years ago, when I was 8, and I've been going ever since with my Dad. They're part of my life, and part of thousands of other fans lives. It doesn't matter where your allegiance lies, we cannot let this football club go out of existence. Even fans of our biggest rivals have been sending messages of shock and support. Brighton, Charlton, Millwall... as much as they hate us and we hate them, they don't want to see us go under. Proper football clubs, with proper fans. I want to see us play a cold Tuesday evening game against Preston North End, or Scunnie, and lose it. I want to see us let in a 93rd minute equaliser against the team sitting bottom of the table. I want to hold my head in my hands in sheer boredom as we grind out a 0-0 draw in the Carling Cup opening round. I'd rather have all these things than no club.

Please add your name, and an email address, to the petition below. It may seem pointless and desperate, but things are pretty desperate at the moment. CPFC2010 have asked the fans to get involved to get as much publicity as possible, and by all accounts the Cameron/Clegg love fest are involved now.

Shameless bump

Hundreds of Palace fans protesting outside Lloyds HQ on Gresham Street in London at the mo. Over 6000 names on the petition. Aim is to get 10,000 by 3pm. The Government should sit up and take notice with those sort of numbers

PLEASE put your allegiances aside and do the right thing. Don't let a club with over a 100 years of history just disappear

Signed!

Would be a shame to see a team that doesn't like Millwall (Swans fan that isn't looking forward to playing those hooligans next season) fall. Currently watching the coverage on sky sports news, best of luck.

Also signed.

As a leeds fan most people probably would have let us go under (the Chairmen of the Football League tried) but I know that feeling.

I would love to see you go, but hey we would miss the six points of you next year :)

The thing is i cant see you going any where someone will step in even if you have to start the season on minus points any way good luck , looking forward to the games next year.

Signed even though you called us pikey caravan dwellers ;)

Looks like a deal is close to being agreed. So much so that the 3pm deadline has been extended

As an Owl, it's so frustrating watching Palace clinging on for dear life. There's no justice in Wednesday having paid the price of relegation for effective handling of our finances through selling assets and not making huge expenditure and now Palace are grovelling to the Prime Minister and Chancellor to help them stay afloat! If they're going to handle themselves awfully, they should pay the price.

Why do football clubs think they should be treated better then other business? if they are run bad they should go just like other compaines in the real world.

Bit of a bump here.

"Effective handling of your finances"?! Doesn't look that way now.

Regretting your words? I wouldn't wish financial difficulties or admin on anyone, but we got a huge amount of support and messages from a lot of away fans during the last few months, and also ones like yours. Maybe now you'll realise how horrible it can feel.

I wish Wednesday all the best, and hope they don't have to go down the admin route. I won't say a word about it, as I know how gut wrenching it feels, but remember that Palace were forced into admin by an aggressive hedge fund. We didn't put ourselves in to take the easy route out.

Good luck Wednesday. A proper club with mostly decent fans. I hope you pull through and get back up to where you belong, and maybe Astraeus you'll now know how silly your above comments sound.

All the best
Simon

Hello peeps!

Another Blackburn Rovers fan here, Blackburn End season ticket holder frustrated by the fact that we've not bought a striker yet and tied Morten Gamst Pedersen to ANOTHER contract:bang:

I really do wish Sheff Wed all the luck in the world, they've got great supporters, I'll never forget seeing Tango Man topless in the Darwen End in the middle of January... crazy man!
