football chat?

Got my ticket today for Pompey Chelsea at Wembley:woot::woot::woot: (Although it was £85 plus booking fee plus postage:nono:) Lets hope i enjoy it as much as the semi final!

I have a sneaky feeling it will be a little tougher this time:( but it would be a nice way to wave bye bye to the premier league.

On a plus note the tickets are only £23 next season as apposed to the £38 this season.

Merc, as a Toon fan, I sympathise. The Championship is fun though, some nice fans here.

Well done Leyton Orient today for the win that preserves our place in Div 1 for another season

Carbon copy of last season when a manager comes in and turns our form around in the nick of time

Just hope if Mr Slade gets the gig for next season we can do a bit better

Up the O's

Cheers Joe. Congratulations on winning the Championship. It's about time you all had something to celebrate. Good luck for next season.

On a plus note i was at Fratton Park today. Nice to win the last home game of the season. Great atmosphere even though we're going down.

As long as we get a buyer and get all the uncertainty sorted, i'm actually looking forward to next season. It will be nice to concentrate on the football again!

Valley, Floyd Road,
The mist rolling in from the Thames,
My desire is always to be found at
Valley, Floyd Road.

Many miles have I travelled,
Many games have I seen,
Following Charlton my favourite team.
Many hours have I spent in the covered end choir,
Singing Valley, Floyd Road,
My only desire.

:clap::clap::clap:

OMG, never thought I'd be saying this but I really enjoyed going to football today. And although I will always be a rugby girl, Charlton are starting to steal a little bit of my heart

What a **** day...

Played Borehamwood in the playoff final today.

Never, ever, have I seen such disgusting behaviour from a set of non league "fans"

Usually they get around 150 people a game, however they seem to have been "chosen" by a group of thugs that apparently have banning orders from another club from what I can gather.

For the first time, I experienced segregation at a NL game. At first I thought it was over the top, however I realise it was pretty much to pen these animals in.

One of their fans got onto the pitch and punched the K`s captain in the face mid game. On being thrown out, he simply climbed back over the wall and nothing more was done by the stewards, or the police.

They won 2-0 in the end, and responded by goading the K`s into a punch up - (which they never got, thank god). One guy was even carrying his kid whist doing so. Mental.

We were advised by the police not to wait around applauding our team at the end of a trying match, and the end of the season "for our own safety"

I really feel for the genuine supporters of this club that this scum appears to have latched onto and hope they do something about it.

I`m still bloody fuming now.

Come on Liverpool please do us a big favour and beat Chelsea and get yourselves that 4th spot hate to think what it will be like if city get it they will be able to buy any player they want if they get champions league next year

You know we would:thinking: were like that. Watched the game thought Liverpool did well for first 1/2 hour then that back pass changed it all you got outclassed everywhere Will have to wait now and see if Wigan can get a result:thumbs:

Crystal Palace fan here, and season ticket holder.

Sunday was one of the best days of my life. And one of the most amazing games I've eve witnessed

Any Blackpool, Leicester, Notts Forest or Cardiff fans on here? I'll be covering sundays game at Leicester and the match at Nottingham on Tuesday night

Martin,

Clip from SSN showing the punch.

K's are currently appealing the result of the match.

Personally, I don`t think they`ll get the replay, but Borehamwood will get a fine. They need to get their act together, they`ve had a number of incidents over the years and jack all about them.

COME ON YOU SPURS!!

COME ON YOU SPURS!!

Thought Huddlestone should have been sent off for stamping after seeing the replay. 'arry must have slipped the ref one of his famous brown envelopes :suspect:

Spurs are a horrible club with the biggest crook for a manager going, was really hoping City would finish 4th to break the top four monopoly. Unfortunately all that will happen is spurs will have a one off year and city will get it next year.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but we are still 4th, and have champions league next year.

Only joking about the horrible club bit :p

All I don't like is Spurs fans banging on about the money they've spent compared to City etc - they've spent loads!

And I have to admit Harry's one of the best managers about.. just very VERY dodgy!

Harry! Give us a twitch!
Harry Harry Give us Twitch!

Glad you won last night felt you were the best team on the night but you are not in the champions league next year you are in the qualifying round to see if you can get into the competition proper little bit more work to do yet I might be wrong but I dont think you get to play the champions league theme tune till you qualify
Bob

OK then, I got hooked in...

West Ham fan, former season ticket holder until I moved to Bristol. Now I'm just hoping Cardiff City get into the Premier League so I can cover them next year when the might hammers make their way to Cardiff.

Also, far better than the Spurs game on Wednesday was the Tony Carr testemonial...I'll take any applause now for my club producing so many talented english players that will be in the WC squad.

Oh, and to anyone who doesn't think I'm a supporter...I would go to games, but work means I'm elsewhere...and I was born and bred Essex/East London so I can call myself properly claret and blue.

I'll be supporting the Bluebirds tomorrow. In fairness it will be from in front of the telly but I've got my ribbons for my car, car sticker to put in, scarf for the parcel shelf and I have to buy all the food for the buffet for friends on the way up to Rescue in the morning.

Should be quite a day.

Here we are then......

Whilst it's gone down to the final game I'll be watching (can't be there) the Man Utd match more in hope than expectation but you never know.....

Come on Wigan lol

I will be sat /stood/jumping/hideing all in the hope that Wigan:help: can give us a chance *** must admit Chelsea have looked formidable at times this season but that still hasnt stopped UNITED:clap: from staying in touch so come you reds
Bob

Demolition.

Whilst I don't like Chelsea, you can`t deny their goal scoring this season has been nothing short of epic.

He's lifting the cup!
He's lifting the cup!
John Terry!
He's lifting the cup!

I want to say a few words about Cardiff...

Well done to them for taking the advantage yesterday...I understand from Andy it was an awful game but still, it's back to Cardiff City Stadium (I still want to say Ninian - even though it smelled of pee) with a goal advantage.

On a work-related note...I'd love to be shooting the likes of Chelsea and Man Utd at Cardiff next year.

Finally, congrats to Chelsea. I was a Chelsea fan for the day since I hate that grumpy Scottish wotsit Ferguson.

Well done to the Bluebirds on Sat. Wished I could have gone to see the FA Trophy being brought back yesterday as I bet the atmosphere was fantastic, unfortunately couldn't make it.

Best of luck to Ross County in the Scottish Cup final !!!

Was a shame to see the Millwall fans living upto their reputations at Huddersfield today, sadly some of Huddersfield Town fans were just as bad

Just got back from Wembley.

Oh well. It was Chelsea after all:( Thought we did ourselves proud and can go out of the Prem with our heads held high. Great to see the amount of Pompey supporters who stayed after the game to thank the players and Avram Grant for the hard work they have put in all season despite all the goings on off the pitch.

Championship here we come. At least the tickets will be cheaper next season!!;)

Rovers Andy it would seem that the people at the huddersfield v millwall game trying to live up to there reputations were the yorkshire old bill

Yes sadly some of the Old Bill were out of order aswell and i believe one officer is being investigated for assaulting a Millwall fan

Well I was at the Charlton game last night, oh well, we'll do it next year:(

Well done Millwall tonigth, lets hope this years trip to Wembley ends better then last year.:)
