football chat?

I'm a red, was snapping the game yesterday and wasn't too disappointed given the opportunities created and the dominance at the start.
Why was Torres so angry ***? put himself off
oh and im yet to meet a man utd fan from manchester

Now, this afternoon was an epic....

I went to Aveley to watch Kingstonian (Ryman Premier South)

Went one nil down after ten minutes, but equalised a minute before half time.

Started 2nd half.

2-1 down.
Then 3-1 down.

And TBH, never looked like it was going to get ay easier.

We finished by winning 3-4 with a minute to go!!!:D:nuts:

I was truely lost for words.

That sounds like a real nailbiter.Glad it turned out good for you. I'm a happy Tottenham fan

Glasgow Rangers season ticket holder here. Pretty happy with our season so far :D

I'm a football fan. Evertonian through and through.

I'll join in the football banter if there is any.

Get in there Rob !!

Blueboy through and through

Once a blue always a blue

I think Arsenal and United both have some work to do now.

So annoyed about Rooney's foot :bang:

Yep it will be a struggle against chelsea tomorrow.

Does anyone know where to get cheaper footy shirts from? as im not too keen on spending £40 on one!!

It's as plain as the nose on my face that Rooney's amazing season was possibly taking United to that all important record breaking 19th title, 3rd Champions league final in a row etc etc but I think we'll fall short now.

I'm not that happy about playing Chelski without Rooney but fair play to Fergie - he's doing what he does best. Not doom and gloom like me......

"we don't need Rooney" - Giving confidence to those remaining players...........

I noticed that today :dummy:

Well that was about as expected.

Big improvement in the 2nd half though.

Can't really see where Chelsea might slip up now in their remaining fixtures. Perhaps Liverpool

Well my team Newcastle United have slithered back into the premeirship, just hope they dont relax and go up as champions.

I agree, fellow fan and former season ticket holder here, although lived Northampton for the past 3 years.

Some serious squad strengthening required if we're going to stay there, especially on the performance last night!!

Congratulations To Newcastle on promotion.

Bit miffed that Dundee United beat St Johnstone. I'd love to see DUFC finish second but I want to see Saints finish in the top 6.

I wanted Arsenal to get past Barcelona tonight but (fair play) Barcelona are a fantastic advert for what's good about the game.

As a United fan I obviously hope we do well tomorrow as i feel the league is going Chelsea's way.

4th place for the premiership is looking good for City....

All in all - a great season so far.....

Fairplay :) bit lucky with Crouch's goal though!

Fairplay :) bit lucky with Crouch's goal though!

TBH, when I saw it the first time round before 45 replays from different angles, I heard the refs whistle clearly on the telly before Crouch had connected with the ball. The blerts doing the commentary were saying 'he's disallowed the goal!!' but I was 200 miles away and could tell he'd blown for a free kick.

At the end, the look on Arry's face was priceless  He'd left that club in the mire after bringing in players on big salaries before the 2008 final. Love to see Pompey win just so they can stick two fingers up at the FA. After all, we all know what the FA means . Players & fans suffer by relegation but moneymen just walk away.

I was at Wembley yesterday and that day is up there with Northampton 1980 and Old Trafford 2008. Better than our last final.

The atmosphere was electric. We hardly heard the Spurs fans throughout the game and when the penalty was given their end emptied immediately. That wouldn't have happened if it were the other way round.:nono:

We may have been relegated the previous day but IMO Pompey fans are amongst the best in the world. We did ourselves proud yesterday.

As fans we don't deserve what has happened but it's happened and i will continue to support them whatever division we are in.

We just need some stability now so we can enjoy the Championship!!

For what its worth, here are my predictions -

Premier League - Man Utd
FA Cup - Spurs
Champions League - Barca
World Cup - Spain

Oh, nearly forgot, Rangers just to edge it in the Scottish Premier

2 out of 4 aint bad...;)

Not my usual way of behaving, but after last night's fine win over Norwich just got to say

Come on you O's

And well done to the new manager for coming in and getting them playing with a bit of pride and passion again

Hope tonghts ref in the Arsnal match is better than the ref at Chelsea last night .He bottled the hand ball by John Terry last night the sheer look on JTs face said everything
Bob

Big weekend coming up........

Looking at Chelsea's fixtures I really can't see where they will drop a single point - I certainly don't think they will get less than 3 points at Liverpool all things considered.

Title is Chelsea's then if Spurs get anything tomorrow ?

pinched from elsewhere but I thought you might enjoy.

Man Utd have signed a new player from Kabul Utd FC.

On his first day Fergie picked up the ball and said 'BALL' then pointed at the goal and said 'GOAL' them demonstrated a kicking motion and said 'KICK'.

OK? So KICK BALL GOAL AND GOOOOAAAAALLLLL!

The Afghan striker plucked up the courage to say "Excuse me Mr Ferguson but I speak very very good English"

.. to which Fergie replied

"hush..... sit down son. Im talking to Berbatov"

:D:D:D:D

I am exactly what it says on the badge

<============ :nuts:

Hoping to avoid relegation!

It's all going wrong, I've started to enjoy football since my visit to the Valley last week, so much so that I now have a Charlton shirt and am going to the Leeds match next Saturday.......

is there hope for me??? :D

No hope at all! ... You obviously suffer from an Addicktive personality!!

Next week's Leeds fans should sort you out though, they've always been nasty, unpleasant so and sos! :boxer:

Hard one today for the O's at Millwall, still need a win to be safe I reckon

Still 7 out of the last 9 points has helped a lot

Indeed, we need a performance like that against Norwich, even though Lambert moaned how poor they were, we did good!

Not able to go today unfort., but you never know??

Got a bad feeling its all going to be down to the last game at Colchester.

Not sure I can deal with another one like that after the Oxford match a few years back

Chelsea's new sponsor for the 2010/2011 season will be 7up.

Squeaky bum time....

Can't see Chelsea chucking it away now but I'm fascinated by all the banter regarding the Liverpool v Chelsea match.

Similar circumstances saw Liverpool beat Blackburn in 95 - a victory that would have seen United win the league - but United messed up.

All my Liverpool friends are adamant they want to loose providing they appear not to lol

Football - don't you just hate it

I`m well chuffed!

Kingstonian overturned the league runners up in the playoff semi finals..

We might be small in number, but what a way to cheer your team onto the pitch!

We should have beaten them at Old T but with the 12 men it was just too much!!
