Well it never really went away.. End of season saw playoffs and cup finals.. then it was tournaments...Now its pre season.

I had Chorley v PNE on sat just gone.. ... I have Bury v Burnley on Tue and Radcliffe v Accy on wed.... Yes it's deffo back :)
 
Blyth Spartsna vs Shildon on Wednesday for me, next weekend off then Blyth vs Hartlepoole the following Wednesday then its back for good, week in week out between Blyth, Whitley Bay and/or Sunderland Ladies as I have the chance of there aswell

Can't wait
 
Hows' the 70-200 shaping up in comparison to the 135 Tony?
 
Friendlies, hah! Just captured an opposition player with his hands round the throat of one of 'ours' in some sort of barney and the ref didn't even bat an eyelid - cos its a 'friendly'. Bodes well for the rest of the season ...

Ahh grew up in Haverhill and a Town season ticket holder - given tonights game at The Abbey Stadium you may well get a few goals!!

Would guess that it will be more of a squad team rather than a 1st team lineup but still some decent players - not sure on Town though :lol:

Quiet weekend for me this one then

Monday Blyth vs Durham City (I think)
Wed - Whitley bay vs Gateshead (may or may not be taking pics)
Thurs - Blyth Sponsors night
 
Can't wait for amateur season to start then I can chip in with my games :D :lol:

if i had the choice between a pro game and an amatuer i would prefer amatuer.. with pro you can only do so much wiht the pics.. crickey you cant even show them on here.. with amatuer you can still sell to local papers and you can put on yer website and you can sell to fans and stuff.. more scope... even at lowley accy stanley.. only half a dozen pics get seen from any game... absoloutly loads of good shots dont see the light of day as papers can only show so many.. rest on my HD :(

Its team pics friday morning for accrington yoof team.. Saturday I am off to the biggest Cul-De-Sac in the country for football then its cricket and also my first ever commisioned bowls game on sunday
 
Just been asked to cover kit launch which is good, not sure on date yet

I know what you mean Tony re taking pics and half not seeing the light of day

I suspect pros keep them but can't do a thing with them which is a pitty
 
Aldershot v Stoke City on Saturday. Good job I didn't sell the 400mm.
 
Google David Bryant and you'll see what I mean; he and Tony Allcott used to be the England men's pairs team. He was famous for having a pipe permanently clamped between his teeth, even inside! :lol:

1 Sunday five different sports and six locations; my hat is well and truly raised to you! :D
 
Off to keele university in the morning.. three very long days of shooting football tournament.. day rate, fuel costs and accomodation...

back friday night then 4 games of cricket over the weekend including 2 cup finals.

busy 5 days ahead but at least i dont need to process any pics from the 3 days in keele... using event togs cards and handing over pics :)

half way through today at keele and one of my 1dmkiv packs up error 30.. seems like shutter gone:( not back until friday night so guess its off to elstree on mon morning.... i hate cameras:(
 
That's not the same one that took a nose dive a while ago is it?

I had that error recently with a 7D & I thought it was the shutter. Took it to Fixation in London & they gave it a service & recalibration & was all ok (still set me back just over £100 though) :(.

On the other hand mine needed a new shutter and two replacement circuit boards, so pre guessing the fix is probably not a great idea! :D
 
err 30 is shutter on 1d... i have 2 and as i am out on a job until weekend i cant get to the invoices to see which is which.. looks like will be sending to canon on sat morning ..they do 3 day turnaround from day after they rec it.. should be back for following weekend :)
 
Can you not send it from where you are?

If it's a case of needing the receipt to confirm warranty maybe Kerso could email/fax them one?

i buy all my lenses off kerso.. i wouldnt by a camera off him after canon telling me they wouldnt honour the warranty
 
That's a pain (re Kerso's bodies). I thought that they were honouring it due to the UK receipt. That rather changes my upgrade plans.

lots of people say they had cameras off kerso and canon have honored the warranty..

when i asked canon before buying my first mk3..they said they honour lens imported but not cameras imported (kerso is imported)... strange but i took no chances... but people do get them fixed with canon so i dunno
 
home from the tournaments and it turns out the 1d4 that the shutter died on was the one i bought in january this yr from the canon-uk store on ebay... all warranty regged so a simple case of off to elstree tommorow morning CPS and back in time for next week..
