No
Just seen the best one yet passed a garage at 10am diesel was £1.77.9 Passed again at 1pm it was now £1.82.9 can’t wait till it goes down 5p a litre At 6.pm

You honestly couldn’t make it up

It jumped 5p a litre a few days ago near here.
I came to the same conclusion.

Rowmhams on the M27 are currently charging £1.86 for petrol
Shell Wimborne Rd West , Wimborne £1.93 for diesel

We are using up a limited resource. The price might come down a bit, but…

The current price will be seen as low in the future.

It is relevant in that it is somethnig that anyone using fuel is gonig to have to get used to. Maybe there is some profiteering done by the oil cos and the UK government, but fuel will get more expensive.

No it’s not really relevant as over the years it’s continually increased but as it does everything else including wages or benefits gradually fall into line with it .. I can go back to when I started driving it was 3 shillings and three pence a gallon but in them days I was on good money I earned around £11 a week after deductions

Yes, from 2016 to 2020 I'd say that is a general increase. But look at the past 18 months and especially this year so far.......

What is really p***ing me off at the moment is that diesel is 12p a litre more than unleaded rather than the usual 1 or 2p!

Why?

I think the fuel duty drop is a big mistake , it sends the wrong message , there should have been a vat drop on gas/leccy that in itself would have helped out more people to a greater level especially to old or vulnerable people that drive very little.

As I understand it almost all diseasel is imported, whilst a large amount of petrol is distilled here.

With all due respect, what happened 50+ years ago is irrelevant. It is what will happen in the less than 50 years hence that is of vital importance.

Fuel prices impact on food and other commodities so it will benefit all

Indeed. Most people don’t realise/understand how much we depend on cheap fuel to live as we do.

but that includes benefitting the rich and the crowd of tonka toy drivers sadly
oh well the NI change was good though very happy with that
