Foliopic, Flickr type websites ??

£70 a year should be peanuts in comparison if you are selling. And 110 separate sales doesn't sound too bad to me, assuming that within a year or less.

But having seen your site, you only seem to offer digital downloads, and very cheaply so I can see why your website cost seems a lot to you. I think you could probably afford to up your prices without losing sales. On from there, I would look at selling prints and maybe other products. Are you able to do that with your current set up?

If not, maybe look at something like zenfolio (there are others, but that is what I use and can never remember the rest), that would give you the option to sell prints and allow self fulfillment so you don't have to put any work into every sale.

Oh and, why do you have an option for quantities for the downloads, why would someone want to buy the same download up to 20 times?

I did think of offering prints, I have a decent printer which prints off some fantastic quality prints, printed some off that I sold on ebay and the buyer was very happy. They paid £10.00 for the print, I centred my website around digital downloads very recently mainly because of work and not always getting the chance to get to the post office... (working away alot at the moment) so it being digital downloads I could just send them from any remote area... Somewhere out in the Brecon Beacons or wandering around Dungeness.

I have all my images as very cheap at the moment more due to the fact I have only been doing Photography for the last year and I suppose I am very critical of my stuff and compared to stuff I have seen on this site I do not think my Photographs are anything special just yet but I am gettin better with practice..... lots of practice!

I have managed to sell 110 pictures on my site since April, so I suppose not too bad so far, just curious what other people use and if there is anything cheaper?

There are plenty of photolabs where you can order through their website, and have sent directly to the customer. So you don't need to worry about having the time to do the printing, get down tot he post office etc.

You can take it a step further with something like zenfolio, where it can all be automated. But that it something you can always look into later when you feel it will benefit you.

Of course as your photography improves, you will find i easier as your images will sell themselves, and for better money. But to me, the numbers sound pretty good for a new start!

I have attempted it myself through mu website, selling general art prints etc. Admittedly not been trying that hard, but still, not made a single sale outside of specific jobs. So I would say you are off to a good start.
