Can any one help. Im having a problem which may sound a bit silly. Ive noticed taking that if taking a pictures of more than one person than only one will be in total focus. Can some one help

what aperture are you shooting at? at a wide open aperture (low f number) you will have a very thin depth of focus. make the aperture a higher number 8-11 and more will be in focus, you may need to increase ISO to maintain a shake free shot if the light is low.

Hi barnabas, welcome to the forum .

Could be a number of things, one of which may be the aperture you are using. With a wide aperture, your depth of field - the area of the shot, going from front to back, that is in focus - is reduced in comparison to a smaller aperture.

Can you post a shot and give us the shooting data? That'll help people to see what's going on.

edit to add: Neil got in first!

you really are gonna have to give a bit more info before anyone can really advise on what your problem is, ideally posting some examples. Failing that can only agree with what Neil says, is your aperture to large which would result in limited depth of field or maybe camera shake is the problem too low a shutter speed. There are a number of possible causes, nearly all technique but without further info anyone would just be guessing.

Edit to add Jon got in before me! :)

Here is an example of a shallow depth of field and it's effects. The child on the right is the subject and the girl on the left is only about a foot further back. I actually did this on purpose but when I got back I wished I had more in focus. It didn't help that I was in a moving boat. lol. Anyway the other major factor is how close the subject is View attachment 1252 . The point is, you can lose focus very easy with a shallow depth of field.

Erhm... didn't you notice, that last post is 588 days old?
