Ok, so I feel a bit (a lot) silly! I tried to clean the focus screen on my 550d. To my horror, I have not only made it worse, but I no longer have the little red lights for setting single focus points. I am aware that the picture quality is not affected in any way, but the whole thing bothers me. Has anyone successfully replaced a focus screen for the 550d themselves? I have seen on Amazon a compatible focus screen for about 12 quid - however, there is a review underneath warning off anyone attempting this themselves by a fella that bought the replacement screen having done the exact same thing as me. What to do?? I really don't want to pay a fortune and be without my camera for 6/7 weeks by sending it off to Canon. Any help appreciated.
