focus on imaging

I've already had notice they are sending me a ticket. I go every year and although I spend very little I enjoy looking at kit for new ideas.

To the OP... there's normally a TP meet on the Sunday opening day.. check out the meeting place threads, i'm sure Jimmy Lemon or A.N.Other will start one soon enough :thumbs:
 
it's compulsory to take the biggest camera and lens combination you own
 
I always go to Focus. It's good enough... bit techy and the speakers and live events are all very commercial.. but maybe that gives me a break from all the "Arty Farty" eh Daryl? ;)

I've been a couple of times and yes worth a trip down, especially if you've never been.

Not sure who's going to fill Jacobs shoes though this year - they tended to have a large presence there ...

Yep, I turn up with my entrance ticket and no gear, there is no need, nothing exciting to photograph.

It is worthwhile, there is lots of gear and suppliers you might not otherwise know about.

Photokina is even better but my feet have only just recovered from the last one, it is a massive site to see in a day.
 
i'l be there again this year but i tend to go on a week day i must admit i have taken a camera in the past ( no backpack though :) ) but it won't be coming with me this year i'ts pretty pointless i'd rather take in the lectures than point the camera and miss what there trying to tell us

i think it's the novelty of it all taking a camera and snapping off a few shots but it soon wears off
 
This will be my third year iirc, I half think after each year I won't bother but I already talked myself around to going.

It is handy opertunity to meet some friends and dream of owing some expensive kit.
 
Damn good excuse to sit in Wetherspoons and chat to people for the whole day if you ask me :)

Will get a meet thread sorted tomorrow, but it will probably be the Sunday as normal.
 
yes go !! take your ticket and credit card ( not for equipment but for the food and drink lol )
 
Hello folks, not been on here in ages, apologies. Thought i would check if there was a meet up.
Does everyone put their self down as a 'trader' in order to get a freebie ticket? Being the honest lass that i am I'm not sure I can risk it.
I will keep an eye on this to see what happens.

Also, a bit late I know but Happy New Year to those that know me & HNY to those that don't too x
 
Who's going and which day? Very tempted to head up on the Monday - only a couple of hours each way and if nothing else, it should be interesting!

What are the main attractions and who's most likely to give away free samples (thinking papers rather than FF bodies but promo stuff [pens etc] also welcome!)? What's parking like up there and access from the M5? Anyone want a lift up said M5 corridor (happy to pick up from any services between Exeter and the NEC)? Any decent eateries on site?

How do you manage free tickets had one once not had one for years now.
 
Yup! RTMed this one. Surprised the box that came up showing last year's and earlier threads didn't flag it.
 
For the last 3 years they have just been sent to me, I haven't applied for them.


Not sure if I'm going this year, although I said that the last two years running!
