Focus on Imaging 2010

Well if Stan The Man is going I'm sure he'll happy to announce at the show who he's met!! I'm sure Stan will remember the show at Hammersmith when he announce to other TP members in the coffee bar he'd just met the King of Groove and another member downstairs at the top of his voice!!!
 
A TP meet? Whoever heard of such a thing? :D:D

The last two years Sunday seems to have been the most popular day, and reading through this thread so far it seems that could well be the case again.

Nah, most TP'ers make the Sunday, its just better for meeting people :)

I'm finally registered and provisional arrangements are made for me going on the Sunday. I wore my TP fleece when I went this year and didn't knowingly come across another TP member. Hopefully I'll have more luck next year.

The meeting point and time was pretty well broadcast at the time, there must have been about 25 of us there on the Sun last year and only a few less the previous year. I presume we'll do the same time and date, ie the Sun at Watherspoons at 12??

I was with a group of friends from my local camera club so I didn't actually go looking for the TP meet in the pub. I was still fairly new to the forum back then (I suppose I still am) so I didn't know anyone to look out for. I just looked for anyone else wearing a TP fleece. I may join the official meeting point next year.

Be ace to meet anyone from here, must set a reminder to book the advance train tickets too:D
 
I registered a couple of weeks ago, will be going on the Monday though to try and avoid the crowds!
 
Sorry couple of more questions. Looked on the site but couldn't see. Do you need to prebook the talks and are there many bargains to be had!? Is it worth taking the bank card (eeek)
 
If you've registered it should be free. and your pass will come to every year after.

Sunday is the worst day to go. to busy and full of anoraks.

Last day Weds is the best day. Lots of bargins at least a Third off as the dealers don't wont take it all back with them.

Never do a Sunday unless you like queing and being stuck in big crowds!!!!

...or want to go on the day most of the other people in this thread are going :p

To be honest I have been in MUCH MUCH MUCH more crowded places than Focus gets on a Sunday. Bit a queue to get in if you get there before opening time, but apart from that I have never had any problems getting to see stands etc.
 
Were people getting images printed free somewhere? Talking huge HUGE prints for samples, I might take my best pics on a memory card that day :D
