Focus on Imaging 2008

will canon be there?

i have never been, are there good deals there?

I think Canon will be there this year :D:clap:

Yes some good deals if you look around, depends on what your after.

also will people like cokina nd sigma and tamron be there. I am after filters and maybe a new lens

i'm not sitting for portraits again this year :nono:

LOL Well it looks like I'm going this time :D

Ditto

Free for trade - awesome !!

I'd love to attend but sadly (or rather not) I'm off to Italy on the 24th Feb; snowboarding.

Went last year but didnt buy anything apart from a QR plate for my Giottos lets see what I can spend my hard earned pennies on this year

I signed up too

are we gonna meet somewhere?
secret handshakes, tp camera straps, one trouser leg rolled up?

Me too.

We should all meet up sometime in the day for a beer or two !

Paul

Well some of us met up last year but I seem to remember it was more of a capuccino & muffins type thing.

Im sure we'll prob all meet up again this year.
Like the idea of secret handshakes & trouser leg rolls, Mike!

Oooh yeah, I'll be rolling my trouser leg up.

Not sure on the secret handshake though, how will we work it out before the day?

Jimmy what du do for a living? doesn't your job working with video qualify you? I thought it would.

hehe yeah it does :) My post was suppose to sound excited that I didnt have to pay the £6 :)

Meeting up with some more of you plebs would be cool too :) though I have just realised Marcel is going :( Is he going to make me listen to his CDs again? (I had to make myself ill to miss them on the blackpool meet) :p

Im leaving my credit cards with my wife....Theyre actually safer :D

why do you need to register?

You don't need to, but they send your pass normally for stuff like this, so you don't need to go and que up to get it. Just saves you a bit of time on arrival :)

avoids having to buy a ticket at the door!

Yep, major pain in the jacksee having to Q for your ticket.

Reminds me of some photo/video show I went to a few years ago. Professionals seem to get a lot more so I registered as Director of my own video production company. Well I do have a camcorder! Even now I'm still getting stuff addressed to the Managing Director!

I'm possible!

I'd probably have to take a day off work. I live in Carshalton, Surrey so a bit of a journey but would be great to meet Marcel and everyone.

One thing as I never been before to show. How crowded does it get and how much of a chance do you get to have to test the equipment?!

I may well swing up. Was gonna go up for the Bike show this month but I don't need anything and haven't ridden much this year.

It's not too far from Surrey...

It does get busy, you tend to find the major crowds at the sellers stalls ie Jaccobs etc, but you can get to try things out, always a good idea to bring your camera too, you may get some nice model shots and stuff, but you will also be able to try out lenses on your own camera.

Myself, Glo, DF, Min and Photostar went round like a band of merry wo(men) looking and trying out all sorts of stuff.

We did indeed wander the isles like lost puppies in search of photographic finery......we even managed a coffee and cookie break :D
