Hi,
Just really want to get people's opinion on this, what mode do you all use for sports, air show, portrait, landscape and macro. (AF-A, AF-S, AF-C and MF) I would like to know also, do you use single point, auto area or 3D tracking for the same types of photo's.

Thanks

You have to use Af-C(Continuous servo mode) with 3d tracking mode for sports. You can use AF-S(single servo mode) with single point focus for portrait.

Thanks, but if you have 3 people in a portrait how would you get all 3 nice and sharp?

You can use Af-S with the focus point in central and use the manual settings to get the correct exposure.Or you can aperture priority and appropriate ISO depending on the lighting.

The camera can only focus at one distance at a time, so to get three people in focus at different distances you need to make sure you have sufficient DOF to cover all of them. If the people are all in a line at the same distance then they will all be in focus so long as one of them is.
