Focus DIY in liquidation.

Well we'll have to agree to disagree then. My opinion comes from 12 years as a Commercial Analyst with them so I'm happy I know what I'm talking about.

or not, past performance is no guarantee of future performance.

you could of course be completely brainwashed by their old fashioned modus operandum

or you may know what your talking about,

personally having witnessed a bestbuy opening weekend about 200 yards from a comet and Currys/PCworld I am amazed they have all survived at all.

I thought Dixons went pop last year - arent they part of Currys now - Currys Digital or some such ?

The Dixons group bought Currys in the 80s. About 6 or 7 years ago, they rebranded their high street Dixons stores Currys.digital and kept Dixons as an online only brand. The group is Called Dixons Retail now.

Not brainwashed at all, I just know how they operate. I know past performance is no guarantee but as a company, they certainly know how to move with the market.

Spot on.

Their last quarter's results weren't great but there's still a viable business there, unlike HMV...

Oh, and for the record, just in case anyone thinks that my 12 years with the group makes me look at them with rose tinted glasses, they treated me like **** and made me redundant 3 years ago. :D

Off topic but what did you actually do for them and what are you doing these days?
I work in the commercial team at Amazon and we regularly hire ex-DSGI people... Might be best to go to PM if you're ever interested in discussing things?
