anyone know how much a focus check/calibration costs at a canon service center? my 1dmkII seems to be tracking a bit slow and back focusing :bang: so hoping to get it checked out. the b****r is all the new bodies have the micro-adjust gizmo but not as far back as the 1dII's...typical!
 
I've just sent my 5D off - front focusing in servo mode - under warantee thankfully but I think the service is about £80 otherwise :(
 
Give one of them a ring they should be able to give you a rough idea.. It may be difficult to give you an exact price as there may be some remedial work and parts needed ( hopefully not).

Is the problem with all lenses or just one ?
 
might have to go back and check closely. I have been noticing it more with just the one but possibly magnified by the fact its a tele lens, I might just drop off the bag with body and collection of lenses and see what they do about it...!
 
I dont think the chart will do any good, send it of for service and calibration, my mk2 did the same in servo and it got sorted.
 
there's using a chart to check things over but I never use them, prefer to go by real life usage since I'll not be taking shots of lines on paper or batteries during normal use! :)
