My First time visit...

Great if you are in the buying mood... plenty of stands selling kit..

A few stands giving lighting and software demonstrations...

Get to play with different bodies, lenses, tripods, bags etc...

Check out sigmas 1000mm F5.6 lens, looks more like a bazooka...

Enjoyed Phase one stand with a demo on high speed flash, bursting a balloon with a dart and laser trigger, awesome detail.

Did it today, 1st time there and it was busy. But got my dream camera. Sony A850 with 28-75mm full frame. £1999 plus free grip with £270. Cameraworld had 1 left new boxed sealed stock. No one could get near their price with Warehouse Express being the closest and still £383 away.

Went back over to Sony stand and met Paul Gange from Sony Uk who along with Sony Advocates gave me some great tips.

360 miles there and back but was worth it (just for deal) Car park was a bit hefty at £8 and the shuttle bus was like a Disney E ride. Will I go again No (cant afford it now) do I want ot go again YES! some great demonstrations and was suprised to see the biggest crowd at Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom presentaions.

£8 is pretty decent if you go all day and never bother with the shuttle bus, its only a 10 minute walk from 1 side of the car park to the entrance :)

£8 is a rip off for us up north.

But yeah 10 min walk from the far car park to the entrance so no bother.

I like buying at the show, you get a good deal from the likes of calumet, and although you always see it cheaper afterwards, I like calumet and I'm happy to pay a little more, knowing that they're store is 25 min drive from me if I have any problems.

I had an exhibitors pass so didn't have to pay for parking but...

If you stay all day and don't hurry back to the car park you'll find that there's nobody checking that you bought a ticket when you leave:)

i went on tuesday, and to be fair i was a bit disappointed with it this year.

Just seemed more like it was a big market, rather than seeing as many productive demos, and inovative ideas. I think the biggest disappointment for me, was that i saw nothing new this year than what i did last year, and also a few exhibitors who interested me last year, not there this time.

cant put my finger right on it, but left a bit disappointed.

I did however save a massive amount of money on my own wedding album, as i brought a sample pack from sim2000. Great result, so worth the journey alone.

I was well impressed with the bargains to be had. Picked up a Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 VRII for £500 less than Greys of Westminster want for one. Also picked up the new TC 20 E III for a saving of over £100.

I would agree though that this years show was more of a market and didn't seem to have as much to offer with regard to tuition and theme than previous years.
