Manfrotto 685B monopod
286RC2 Ball head
Lee Filters wrap
Rocket blower
Spudz cleaning cloth

Interested in all your purchases!

Looks like loads of people buying, got a bit busy in the afternoon - Great fun though.

Hmmm..........I bought a burger and chips washed down with a pint of John Smiths :D

I've been very restrained this year :)

........however I am going back there on Tuesday and Wednesday ;)

Tuesday - booked in for some of the seminars :geek:

Wednesday - maybe pick up some end of show bargains

And if ANYONE knows how much a D300 was there I'd LOVE to know :D

Adele..........I told Dee that you'd posted this question on her Facebook profile  So hopefully she's priced it up for you! :)

I picked up a D700 & Nikkor 24-70. I should also start saving for reconstructive surgery in case the missus finds out how much they cost :D

im an idiot.. i'm going with practically no money

when did they start doing cashback again? didnt have it on mine at christmas

If anyone who's going sees a stand from a company called 'Studiodecor' let me know, I'm interested to hear what people think of them (they own the rental studio I use).

£859 with 60 back isnt really a saving.

Warehouse express are doing them for £799, or were a when i last looked a couple of days ago.

Im going on tuesday, ive got the credit card locked and loaded incase i see a bargain.

by one of the doors entrance 12/13 i think:thinking:

Would be interested to know how much you can get a Sigma 10-20 for at the show.

Sigma 10-20mm
Manfrotto 190XproB
Manfrotto RC322RC2 grip
Lowepro Slingshot 200AW

Like a kid in a sweet shop I tell ya.. :)

Oh, and the GF didn't help; all she did was say 'Go on, buy one... you know you'll regret it if you don't.'

What kind of example is that? :)

Trixster, they are £314 from the Jacobs stand.

Oh, and just to tell you how good a deal that is at the moment; I went to the Sigma stand to see if they had any offers and found the SRP is now £549....

The guy told me to go grab one off the other vendors as the price was silly!

can anyone confirm payment arrangements at focus.

Is everyone set up for card payments with chip and pin, or does the odd one just take cash and use the old carbon credit card things?

Del, I believe Jacobs were selling them for £999 Show Special Deal

As for what I bought I went mad and bought

Nikon 70-200VR (£1299 from Jacobs Focus special, one of the best prices I've seen recently and they still had a few left at 5pm when I left)
Nikon SB900 (£279 from Jacobs Focus special)
Lee 77mm Adaptor Ring (don't buy from the Lee stand - go to Speed Graphic)
2x B+W UV (very good prices from PFD Direct)
1x B+W Circ Polariser (again very good prices from PFD Direct)

I think I did very well to resist the D3, D700, 2x Convertor and a whole long list of other things too

Everyone I went to had full Chip & Pin and I overheard Jacobs and one other stall refusing foreign cards without the Chip.

Didn't buy a thing! I was looking for the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 but nowhere had one. I was also going to get the OnOne software bundle but they didn't take Amex. :sulk:

oh and i bought a sigma lens cloth and a lighting dvd........last of the big spenders

I only brought a Pandoras box Beanie bag from Jacobs for a tenner.

I Didnt think "show prices" were that Special

Could you tell me how much they are going for may be looking for one. :D

£39.95 on the Jacobs stand... very nice bag with plenty of room for a decent DSLR and up to 4 additional (not major) lenses or 2 longer range lenses..

Was tempted a couple of times but in the end was good, all I came away with was a Manfrotto 323 QR adapter for my monopod and a spare plate for it.

A grand total of £32. That officially makes it my cheapest focus ever !!!

but after getting back home I wish i had got a collapsible background and a reflector stand :(

Arrrggg I wish I'd known you were there mate... :bang:

I spent most of the day in David Olivers seminars.

As for buying, I just bought an album sample pack. Although I have nothing to show for it yet

Pete

cosmix3, if you aren't going there I got mine from Dixons, it works out about £7 more because of the £4.99 for postage, but not bad all the same :)
