quick question....I know a few phones have fm transmitters in them. Does this mean you can transmit an audio track to, say the car radio, to get better volume?

I think what you are saying is correct,i have read something like that.:)
 
Yes you can. You can buy little gadgets that plug in to your iPlayer or whatever, select a frequency on the gadget and tune your car radio to the same frequency. Voila.

Only problem we found with ours is that if you are driving any distance, every so often you have to re-tune the frequency you are using. This is because you may start off on an unused frequency, but as you travel around, you move to an area where the frequency is being used, and you start to suffer from interference.

Yeah my Nokia N97 has it built in to the phone, i use it on the van most of time to listern to my music, in the car i have a lead in the back of the radio to tune it though.

The FM transmitted sound isnt as good as listern to the phone music via audio lead, but its equal to a radio broadcast, the lead is CD quility.
