Hi,

Right, short story, im creating a 2 sided a5 colour flyer. I have designed it all in photoshop. Took the pictures on a 550d. Now when i open up or even just view the images that i took they are very clear. Now to put it on the flyer i open the image in PS then change image size to roughly 5% and copy and paste it onto the flyer. Now when re-sizing im loosing alot of quality on the image.

Ive just printed a copy onto photo paper, a5 size and the images look blurry.

I dont get it when i first open up the image in photoshop its very clear, 18MP after all. Now when i re-size to 5% then copy and paste to the flyer page, its blurry.

I want it crystal clear.... Even on the printout the images look like they were taken on a phone!

Is there something im doing wrong? Or is there another way to preserve the images quality when putting onto the flyer?

On the front page of the flyer there are 5 images and on the back 5 as well. So you understand why i need them best quality. Especially when im sending them for litho printing soon.

I changed the PPI in the image size in the flyer to 300 from 72 as this is what the printing company need it at, but that still doesnt make a positive difference.

Can anyone help me or advise me?

Kind Regards
Omar

Well, open your A5 layout then open your pics and drag and drop your pics into that A5, if they are bigger than required go to edit - transform ( CTRL-T} and resize to fit.
Don't change the file to 72ppi, for best results when you are setting up a file for print stick with 300ppi after that you can save to whatever the printer needs but I would be very surprised if it would be requested at 72ppi

I'm missing something, a 550d image reduced 5% won't fit on an A5, and you say later theres 5 pics on there?
Are you resizing the images for the flyer then resizing the flyer again?

No im just resizing the images onto the flyer, but it looses quite a bit of quality.
